Before I start out, let me make it clear that this post is primarily about tonal dissonance and quality of writing of Far Cry 5 specifically. This is mostly an observation I found incredibly pervasive and striking in my time with Far Cry 5, namely that the game offers the choice between playing a male or female protagonist but the writing – in so many ways – is quite obviously written for
Replying to the top comment to drop this often forgotten about/ignored statement from Ubisoft. In an Ask-Me-Anything thread on Reddit for Far Cry 6, Ubisoft developers answered numerous fan questions about the game, including one from user Cheesysock5 about whether the game is continuing the events of Far Cry 5 — which, fans may remember, ended in an apocalyptic nuclear war th
Far Cry 5 is the latest entry in this popular first-person shooter from Ubisoft. Set in Hope County, Montana, players assume the role of an unnamed deputy that’s tasked with bringing down an
For instance, Vaas represents the crazy, lone wolf type of villain while Joseph is a religious figure. In that regard, he is retreading the same territory as Pagan. I only finished 3 and 5 and started 6 1:Vass 2:John Seed 3:Jacob Seed 4:Hoyt 5:Joseph Seed 6: (forgot the name of the FC6 antagonist) 7:Faith Seed.
About hours before writing this I completed the game with Nuclear ending. just minutes after I jumped on YouTube, searching Far Cry 5 ending explained video. There I was reading comments about the video and ending some people argued that FC5's ending were boring and some argued that this game had amazing ending.
Holy cow you don't know revelations at all but that's okay a lot of people here don't. The character in game does indeed break the seven seals, and that's the role of the Lamb of God in the Bible, Jesus, that's your role in the story, Joeseph plays the antichrist appearing as the savior for a set amount of time to rule in chaos but his downfall also marks the end of time.
It keeps the core people enjoy, adds some great features, removes some annoying features but unfortunately hasn't removed THE worst feature which is the constant actions and business. Villans and characters are great and it has a dark sense of humor that is absorbing. A really enjoyable sand-box.
If they made Far Cry 6 have the gameplay of Far Cry 4, without any perk trees or any unlockables outside of weapons, and gave it the dynamic weather systems, in game map and minimalist hud from Far Cry 2, I would be a very happy man. Coop takes away from the immersion for me, as do the perks and constantly bringing up menus.
The map doesn't change after the ending, you can still roam independently on what you choose. However the main menu background will change. I'm not sure, i have never finished any of my FC5 playthroughs, i just can't get myself to get to the last mission of confronting Joseph, just to see that disappointing ending. KLIs0w.
