Re Sorento CRDI Timing chain guide failure. Bad news it is a huge job to replace the chains and the tensioners, There is one bolt on the oil pump chain tensioner the cannot be removed with out removing the sump. I am not to fond of the idea to remove/lower the front diff and some other bits to remove the sump.
2009Sorento EX CRDi 2.5L overheating. it moves to 75% of temp gauge. I replaced the Fan belt , same issue, i replaced the Thermostat , same issue, (now getting hotter even faster) is it still safe to drive, drive till hot , then cool down. I checked the fuses in engine compartment for Fan cooler, it is fine 30A no burn.
